This website addresses the theories in the fields of philosophy, social psychology, and education dealing with the importance of teaching something more than just facts to children during their education, that there is something more important to flourishing than the intellect. That "something" has been given many names, including various virtues, character traits, and non-cognitive skills and may include zest, grit, self-control, optimism, gratitude, social intelligence, and curiosity among many many more. This website addresses the different approaches to identifying, analyzing, and implementing the teaching of that "something" that we know is important for success but have yet to collectively identify with certainty.

I am hopeful that "grit" education could replace code-switching as we know it.
It provides specific, attainable goals that are framed in a positive light.
The utility of these traits remains in any environment.
